Pups are doing very well and growing fast. Their weight is now between 750 - 910 grams.  Update on (expected) color of pups. Besides 2 girls, one of them certain to be Orange and the other we also expect to become Orange, all other puppies are Blue Belton’s.

On Friday 20th of January first puppy opened eyes and rest of them 1 Day later.  The brads are now experiencing the wonderful world of sight.   We also believe that a few pups are now obtaining their hearing function which will expand their perception. On o1-22-2012  all pups are de-wormed for the first time. Below pictures are taken on 22-23 of January 2012.

On Sunday, 8 th of January 2012 Lola gave birth to 2 males and 5 females. Mom and pups are doing very well.  Puppies weigh between 300 -340 grams.  About the colors of puppies.  As far as to be seen (for now) we have 1 Blue boy and 1 boy color unknown( Orange?) and 2 Blue females and 3 girls that are unknown (Orange/Blue?) as for all not specified colors to be decided later by Mother Nature.  Information and health clearances Hip dysplasia (HD) and Deafness (BAER test of Sire and Dam) are mentioned below and their official certificates will be published (*) on the site of  The Dutch English Setter Club (VES). 

Noted: This litter is bred in accordance with all demands and health issues as required and stated in the Breeders Regulations of the Dutch English Setter Club (VES),  See LINK.

(*) Health clearances: As of now, both parents health status inculding certificates HD and BAER can be seen at  the site of Dutch ES Club named Vereniging van Liefhebbers van de Engelse Setter, in short VES, see LINK.

Body temperature of Lola  is coming down/dropping  so we expect the puppies to be born no later than Friday, January 6, 2012.

December 7, 2011 our girl Ch. Fanchon Feshaw Melantha Stacey (nickname Lola) LINK  visited the Vet for an ultra sound check.  Below the Ultra sound picture and video of puppies. Full details of the official health clearances  - Hip dysplasia (HD) -  and deafness, BAER test) of Mom (HD/FC-norm B and BAER -double sided hearing) and Dad (FCI-norm A-1/ BAER double sided hearing) will be published  - after birth of puppies notification - on the website of the  Dutch English Setter Club (VES)  in their section: Nieuws. 

Mom's pedigree includes many of our finest and successful English Setters in our History.  

We expect GREAT personalities and wonderful temperaments, healthy hips, excellent movement and drive, great heads, dark eyes, scissor bite and with full dentations, good front angulation, great top lines to follow up on their parents qualities.  Puppies will be BAER tested (deafness) and these  results will be handed over to the new owners as well copies of all official health certificates (Hips and BEAR clearances) of  Mom and Dad.
