News 2013
R.I.P. Joey.
We had the Vet come at the house on Friday November 29, 2013 having to send our Joey on his journey to the rainbow bridge.
His age, he turned 8 years on august 8, 2013.
Bad case of leukemia. Two weeks ago happy as can be, chewing away on a smoked cow bone. A day later not eating all his food. Next day looking poorly so off to the Vet. Joey went that week through the works, X-ray’s stomach and chest followed by ultra sounds showing enlarged spleen and liver, his gall ways/channels heavily infected and by than having big problems making him eat anything at all. Several blood tests and biopsy’s taken all showed bad outcomes! We tried prednison - yes, against better judgment! but by than desperate - however also in vain as no result and the starvation process started…so we had to let him go.
We can only hope that this lovely gentle boy will be running at the rainbow bridge. Being healthy and no pain together with the rest of our bunch.
Wintertime.
The furnace is burning, this couch is close by, so make room and if not I will find or create some space for myself.
Result Hip dysplasia (HD).

Title: VDH. Champion Fanchon Paints It Black Jack (Jamie)
At the first 2013 available Pointer und Setter (Germany) CAC show Jamie went best dog in Open Class and received his last required VDH Dtch. Anwartschaft point in order to qualify for the Title VDH German Champion. Although he had already gained the required 5 points for the Title German Champion we needed to wait due to obligation as mentioned in German show regulations that state; ' Between the first and last achieved Anwartschaft point there must be at least 1 year plus 1 day passed on '.
Jamie's first Dtch. Anwartschaft point was gained at his first German show, out of the Open class, at the age of not being 18 months yet.
He had a wonderful (dream) - start as also appointed at this show being Best Male as well getting the Title Bundessieger (BSA) 2011.
We believe we could not have wished... for a better start.
Thank you Judge Mrs. Susan Stone-Amport.
From age (18 months) on, starting out of the Open Class, Jamie managed to gain at 8 German CAC/IB shows a total of 10 VDH Anwartschaft (appointed for German Champion Title points) as both Bundesieger shows (2011 & 2012) points are to be counted double.
